You need both working correctly for accurate reporting and effective bidding.

What is Facebook CAPI setup and why does it matter?

Facebook CAPI — Meta Conversions API sends Conversion Events from your server directly to Meta, bypassing the user's browser. This matters because iOS privacy changes and ad blockers can prevent browser-side pixels from firing, which means Meta loses visibility into a significant portion of your Conversions. CAPI fills that gap. How does GA4 Ecommerce tracking work for Shopify?

GA4 Ecommerce tracking on Shopify captures the full Purchase funnel, view_item, add_to_cart, begin_checkout, and purchase, with dynamic values including order ID, revenue, tax, shipping, and product-level data. The setup requires careful implementation because Shopify's checkout process runs on a separate subdomain, which breaks standard GA4 tracking without cross-domain configuration. We also use Shopify's Customer Events section for Purchase tracking to ensure revenue data matches what Shopify records.

Why does my GA4 revenue not match my Shopify sales figures?

This is one of the most common Ecommerce tracking issues we fix. The gap is almost always caused by one of three things: the Purchase Event fires on the thank-you page before the order is confirmed, so cancelled orders get counted; the revenue value is hardcoded rather than pulling dynamically from Shopify's order data; or the GTM trigger fires on page load rather than on a dataLayer push from Shopify's order confirmation. When fixed correctly, GA4 revenue and Shopify revenue should differ by no more than the margin of returns and refunds.

Can you set up Conversion tracking for WooCommerce?

Yes. WooCommerce Conversion tracking requires a data layer to push purchase data, order ID, revenue, products, quantities, into GTM on the order confirmation page. From there we configure GA4 Ecommerce Events, Google Ads Conversion tracking with dynamic revenue values, and Meta Pixel Purchase Events. What is LinkedIn Insight Tag setup and who needs it?

The LinkedIn Insight Tag is LinkedIn's tracking pixel. It enables Conversion tracking for LinkedIn Ads campaigns, website demographics reporting, and Remarketing Audiences on LinkedIn. If you're running LinkedIn Ads for B2B lead generation, promoting to job titles, industries, or company sizes, the Insight Tag is required to track which campaigns actually produce leads or contact form submissions.
